My Gevalia Pod Brewer Is Not Working
Waking up to the fresh smell of coffee can help people get their day going. Today, companies like Gevalia offer consumers premium coffee that can be delivered to your door. As a reward for joining a coffee club, the company gives the buyer a brand new coffeemaker. These coffeemakers come in all different colors and styles, and the kind you get depends on the price of your membership. These machines function well when used correctly. Place the pod brewer on a flat, dry surface and plug it into a 120 volt outlet. Check to make sure all the pieces needed for the machine are accounted for prior to use.

Fill the water reservoir with at least 4 ounces of cold water. The brewer contains a built-in water level sensor that will cause the machine to stop brewing if the amount of water is not adequate.

Press the on/off switch on the brewer only once to start the brewing cycle. If the button is pressed twice, it will cause the machine to completely turn off and disrupt the brewing cycle.

Check the coffee pod and make sure it is properly placed in the center of the pod holder. The flat side of the coffee pod will be facing up while the rounded side will be facing downward. Place the pod holder back into the brewing chamber and make sure it snaps into place. Place the desired size coffee mug onto the drip tray and press the button on the front of the machine that indicates the size you have chosen. The machine will turn off automatically when done brewing.

Remove the spout, brewing chamber, drip tray, and drip plate and clean with a non-abrasive cleaner. De-calcify the brewer every three months with 9 ounces of vinegar and 7 ounces of water. Cleaning the machine properly will prevent mineral deposits from clogging the machine.

Tips & Warnings
Use the appropriate size mug for brewing to prevent coffee from overflowing.
Do not submerge the Pod Brewer directly in water. This will cause the electrical components to malfunction.
Always use cold water when brewing. Hot water will cause damage to the machine.
Do not use coffee-pods that are broken or damaged. This will cause the machine to become clogged with coffee grinds.
Do not remove the water reservoir during the brew cycle. The steam that escapes from the brewer could possible scold you.
Be careful when handling the brewer and coffee-pods after the brewing cycle has ended. These components are still very hot and could burn you.
