- Glass ball ornament with removable cap
- Rubbing alcohol
- Bottled acrylic paints
- Bathroom-sized paper cup

Remove the metal cap from the ornament. Be careful not to break the neck of the ball.

Pour a little alcohol into the ball and swish it around to coat all the glass. Pour out the alcohol and allow the ornament to dry completely.

Squeeze paint into the ball through the neck opening; it doesn't matter if it goes directly to the bottom or runs down the sides. If you are using different colors of paint, add them one at a time.

Hold the ornament in your hand. Twist and rotate your wrist to swirl the paint to cover the entire surface. Repeat, using any other colors of paint you want to use. Add additional paint, if necessary, to cover the whole ball.

Turn the ball neck down. Rest the ornament in the open mouth of a paper cup to allow excess paint to drain. Let the ornament dry completely.

Replace the metal cap. Add a hook for hanging.

Tips & Warnings
Vary the paint shades to add color to wreaths and other decorations all year.
If you get paint on the outside of the ball, wipe it off with a damp paper towel. If the paint has dried on the outside, a little more water on the towel will remove it. For stubborn spots, use a little rubbing alcohol on the towel.
Allow the alcohol to dry completely before adding paint, and allow the paint to dry thoroughly before replacing the cap. Otherwise, the paint may not stick to the glass.
