Update Cydia

Cydia is a utility commonly used with jailbroken iOS devices, like the iPod Touch or iPhone. Cydia is the application used to download third-party programs to your device. It does not use the Apple Store the same way a person with a non-jailbroken iOS device would to download programs. Cydia can be updated on your device by using the update feature of the application itself.

  Tap the "Upgrade Essential" option from the menu.

  Tap "Confirm." This will update the version of Cydia that is running on your device.
