How to Copy an ISO Image to an ESX Server
VMware ESX often operates on a server that does not have a CD or DVD-ROM drive to load removable media from. Additionally, many Linux and UNIX operating systems are distributed primarily by the Internet in the form of ISO disc images. You may wish to copy an ISO disc image to a VMware server as a replacement for the CD drive when installing a new guest operating system. Copying an ISO image into VMware ESX from the host operating system can be accomplished from within the VMware Infrastructure Client.
