How to Hook a Guitar Strap to a Hannah Montana Guitar
Hooking a guitar strap to a Hannah Montana guitar is done in the same fashion as other acoustic guitars, but the placement is often not obvious. The Hannah Montana guitar is a 3/4-size acoustic guitar made for Disney by Oscar Schmidt, a division of the Washburn Guitar Company. Like many acoustic guitars, the Hannah model includes only one strap button (also called an end pin) on the lower back heel of the instrument. The other end of the strap will need to be hooked onto the upper portion of the neck called the "headstock."
Instructions

1
Thread the cord through the pre-punched hole in one side of the guitar strap and form a double knot to keep it secure.
-
2
Thread the cord underneath the guitar strings directly behind the white plastic piece that suspends the strings at the end of the neck. This piece is called the "nut."
-
-
3
Wrap the cord around the back of the neck until it meets the section where it is inserted under the strings and tie a strong double knot.
-
4
Trim the excess cord with a pair of scissors, leaving enough to untie the knot when necessary, such as when changing straps and cleaning.
-
5
Attach the other side of the guitar strap to the end pin by placing the pre-punched hole over the pin.

Tips & Warnings
Allow some slack in the loop around the headstock so the edge of the strap does not contact the guitar and get in the way of playing.
Contrary to some myths, no damage to the guitar will occur by attaching the strap to the headstock in this manner. Many high-end guitar manufacturers suggest strap attachment in this manner.
Inspect the cord, knot and pre-punched strap holes periodically for loosening, stretching and fraying to avoid accidental dropping of the guitar.
Do not add another strap button to the neck heel of the guitar. This is another popular strap attachment alternative, but have the work done by a professional to avoid damaging the instrument.
