A poker table cover provides the personal touch when you're playing poker.

You can play poker at any kind of table. But the game is best played on a poker table. Covers are either used as the top of the table or to blanket the table top, and allow for placement of playing cards, chips and other poker items. Instructions

    • 1

Put on safety glasses and gloves to protect your eyes and hands from dust and wood chips. Cut out four pieces of wood with identical 4-inch widths, lengths and heights with your hand saw. These are the legs of the poker table top.

    • 2

Cut a piece of plywood with your desired length and width with the hand saw. For example, a plywood piece eight feet long and 42 inches wide contains enough space to seat 10 poker players, according to MadeMan.com.

    • 3

Place one leg under all four corners of your piece of plywood. Hammer nails into each one to connect all legs to the plywood piece. A center leg can be cut out from wood with the hand saw and nailed below the direct center of the plywood piece for additional sturdiness, according to MadeMan.com.

    • 4

Cover the plywood piece with your felt. Cut off any felt hanging over the edge of the plywood with scissors.

    • 5

Staple the felt onto the plywood piece with your staple gun. Pull the felt tight when stapling the last two edges of the plywood to avoid bumps in the felt, according to MadeMan.com.
