How to Print From an iPAQ
An iPAQ is a Pocket PC device manufactured by Hewlett Packard. It is a personal digital assistant that is used to store contacts, maintain a calender and save files, among other features. One feature many users may not know an iPAQ is capable of is printing. You can print files from an iPAQ by installing the HP Mobile Printing application on the device and configuring the software to connect to a printer.

Launch a Web browser, then navigate to the HP Mobile Printing for Pocket PC download webpage (see Resources). Download the HP Mobile Printing installer program to your computer.

Connect the iPAQ to the computer, then double-click the downloaded installer program "hpmobilprinting.exe." The installer program will launch and copy the HP Mobile Printing files to the iPAQ. HP Mobile Printing will appear in the iPAQ's "Start" menu after the application has successfully installed.

Tap "Start" on the iPAQ, then tap "HP Mobile Printing." Tap "Tools," then "Configuration." The Configuration screen will open.

Tap the "Printers" tab, then tap "Add." Select the "Printer Type" in the Add Printer screen, then tap "Next." Select the printer manufacturer and model, then select the network connection type. Type a name for the printer in the "Name" box, then select the check box next to "Set as default printer." Tap "Finish," then "OK."

Tap "Start," then "HP Mobile Printing" and select "File Printing" located on the command bar. Tap "Pocket PC," then select the file you want to print and tap "OK." Tap "Print" to print the file to the default printer.
