How to Add a Mailbox to a BlackBerry thumbnail
You can add multiple mailboxes to your BlackBerry smartphone.

BlackBerry smartphones are a line of hand-held devices produced by the Research in Motion company for business-oriented purposes. BlackBerry smartphones are popular for their messaging capabilities and function as portable digital assistants, allowing users to view their emails and calendars on the go. The BlackBerry is capable of receiving and sending emails from multiple addresses at once, avoiding the need to log in to each email address individually. Setting up this function is a simple procedure, which can be done in less than five minutes, depending on the number of mailboxes you wish to add.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the MENU key on the home screen and select "Setup." Depending on which BlackBerry model you own, you can access the email setup by selecting "Setup Wizard" followed by "Email Setup," or by selecting "Email Accounts" or "Email Settings" from the "Setup" menu.

    • 2

Select the option to "Add or create a new email address" on your BlackBerry device. On older models of BlackBerry devices, you may be asked to agree to a terms and conditions prompt before continuing. Click on "I Agree," once you've read the prompt to continue to the next screen.

    • 3

Choose one of the available email providers and provide your email address and password. If your email provider is not on the list, select "Other" and provide the required information. Select "Continue" once you are done. You can also create a new email address and mailbox with an @blackberry.net address by choosing the "Create New Address" option and providing the necessary information.

    • 4

Select "Setup another email account" to add another mailbox to your device or the "Return to setup" option to log out.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can synchronize your Microsoft Outlook or other work email account with your BlackBerry device by choosing the "Blackberry Enterprise Server" option from the setup menu. Contact your BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator for an Enterprise Activation password and instructions on how to set up the account.
