Take a trip to your local fabric store. Talk with a sales associate who can lead you in the right direction. Describe what you would like to make and if possible, bring a drawing or photo of the finished product. This will give the sales associate an image of what you are looking for as far as fabric texture, color, size and weight.

These online stores are extremely illustrative and descriptive about their fabrics and will assist you in selecting proper fabric for your project. Find the fabric that works for you by entering fabric type, color and weight information on the website. Call customer service to have a representative walk you through the process if you need assistance.
