How Does the CD-IB100II Connect to the AVIC-N2?

Pioneer designs many of its multimedia receivers to connect to external units. The AVIC-N2 is designed to connect to an iPod as an external unit using the CD-IB100II adapter. The AVIC-N2 can then receive information about the files stored on the iPod and send commands to the unit to control audio playback. The CD-IB100II connects to the AVIC-N2 via the IP-BUS port on the back of the unit. Installing this cable involves removing the receiver from your vehicle's dashboard to access the port. Consult your vehicle's user manual for information on removing the receiver. Different vehicles use different mounting systems.
