How to Create Your Own Bridal Bouquet
Flowers are an important part of the wedding ceremony and one of the more costly items to buy. Making your own bridal bouquet saves you money and allows you to add your personal touch to the momentous occasion. As you plan to make your own bridal bouquet, take into consideration the particular styles of bouquets that appeal to you. Different styles of bouquets include cascading flowers, nosegays, and hand-tied bouquets. Fresh pink roses are the main flower in this traditional nosegay bouquet chosen for their sweet scent and easy coordination with other flowers. The colors of the flowers can be changed according to the color motif of your wedding.

Six easy steps to create your own bridal bouquet.
-
1
Visualize your dream bouquet. Create a simple drawing of how you want it to look like, such as the shape and size.
-
2
Cut off excess leaves and thorns from the roses with your floral clippers. Fill a bucket with cool water (if rosebuds are open) and place the stems in the bucket until you are ready to use the flowers; this helps keep them fresh. If the rosebuds are closed, use warm water; this helps them to open.

Place your bouquet holder in its stand (this can be purchased from your local florist or craft shop). Using one hand to hold the flowers, take four white roses and gather them in a circle, creating the center of your bouquet in a dome-like shape. Take four red roses and place around the white roses. The red roses will provide a beautiful accent to your bouquet. Next, add the remaining white roses one by one in a circle around the red roses to complete the floral arrangement.
-
4
Add green foliage throughout the bouquet of roses as you desire. Arrange the height of the flowers to your liking. Place the corsage pins throughout the bouquet for added sparkle.

5
Once the flowers and greenery are arranged to your satisfaction, take the floral tape and wrap it tightly around the stems of the flowers to hold the flowers in place; you may need someone to help with this so your arrangement stays in place. Run the stems under cool water and trim an inch off the ends; cutting the stems beneath running water helps preserve the flowers. Place the arrangement in the bouquet holder.
-
6
Spray the bridal flowers with water to maintain freshness. Gently wrap the bouquet in tissue paper and wrap a wet paper towel around the stems. Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to use the bouquet.
