How to Give Electricity to a Lunch Wagon
Lunch wagons are hand-pushed carts or driven trucks that provide hot meals for sale. Lunch wagons are often located in areas where large numbers of working people lunch. They can be found parked on sidewalks and side streets. Electricity is needed to run fans, ovens and refrigerators for food preparation. Some lunch wagons can be plugged into an external outlet while others must bring a source of electricity with them. For those lunch wagons, solar power and electric batteries are practical choices.

Check the nearest building for a power outlet. Plug the lunch wagon into an available external outlet. Some buildings have an external three-prong outlet that can be used to plug in heavy equipment. Get permission from the building owner, and then plug right in.

2
Run a generator for electrical supply. Generators come in various sizes and can provide electricity for several hours. Add the appropriate fuel, either gasoline or propane, to the fuel tank. Start the engine. Plug an electrical cord into the generator, and you've got power.

Connect the kitchen's electrical motor to a solar-panel kit. Solar panel kits for boats and vehicles can be purchased at some hardware stores and at solar panel dealers. They come in a range of sizes from single panel to units with three or four panels with wires and bolts for attaching to your vehicle. Solar dealers can custom-fit your solar panel kit to the roof of your lunch wagon.
