How to Perform Voodoo
Native to Haiti, Voodoo is an amalgam of African beliefs and Catholicism. According to the Voodoo Spiritual Temple website, it stems from "Voudon," a word used by the Fon people of West Africa to describe the invisible power or creative spirit. While Voodoo recognizes only one deity known as Gran Met or Bondye, there are many spirits (loa) that intermediate between people and the divine. To communicate with these spirits to find answers to your questions, you can train your subconscious to connect to the world in which these spirits live.

Contact with Spirit

Go into a silent meditative trance. Count from one to 30.

To contact the spirit, ask a question. Then turn on the recorder. Tune into your senses. Say what you hear, see and feel. Utter your thoughts. What is being channeled through you is your answer from the spirit.

Give yourself the license to depart from the spirit world. Say "I thank thee (name your spirit); this ritual is now done. All forces, entities and energies shall go about their business until again I call. In the Ultimate Name, go in peace to do my bidding. Harm nobody and none and nothing that I have, that I like and love. So mote it be."
