How to Load POI on BlackBerry Maps

Using the Blackberry's GPS maps, you can search for nearby points of interest.

Blackberry smartphones offer an array of features, including social networking applications, media players, games and GPS software. The Blackberry's GPS application can be used to find many locations while driving. The application works by supplying the user with detailed directions and maps. As you view the GPS, you may want to know where the nearest restaurants, markets or entertainment spots are. These points of interest, or POIs, can be viewed on the Blackberry's maps by performing a local search.

Instructions

1. From its home screen, click on the Blackberry's "Maps" icon.

2. Tap the "Menu" key to bring up GPS options.

3. Click on "Local Search." Use the keyboard to enter the type of POI you want to find, such as hotels, airports or restaurants.

4. Press "Enter" to view all nearby POIs that match the information you entered.
