How to Scan With Netgear Print Servers

For wireless printing throughout your home network, you can use a Netgear print server. Print servers connect a printer directly to your network rather than to a computer itself. Once you have installed the printer on each computer via the Netgear print server, the printer will operate like any other device. You just need to open a scanning utility and select your device from the network list.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "Start > All Programs > Windows Fax and Scan."

    • 2

Click "Scan" in "Windows Fax and Scan." Click "New Scan" to load the new window.

    • 3

Click "Change" if you have more than one scanner. Select the "Network" scanner you have connected.

    • 4

Insert the document or photograph you want to scan into your scanner. Click the "Profile" drop-down menu and choose either "Picture" or "Document."

    • 5
