How to Make Your Own Power Ranger Team
The Power Rangers were a popular children's television show and comic book from the 1990s. The Power Rangers typically worked in teams of five, and occasionally six, members. They were clothed in tight jumpsuits and capes, with a helmet that disguised their faces. Each Power Ranger wore a different color and was named according to that color. For example, a yellow-wearing Power Ranger would be called Yellow Ranger. The color of the costumes also coordinated to the Power Ranger's superpower. Organize teams of Power Rangers at a Power Ranger themed child's party and have the teams play each other in games and activities. Does this Spark an idea?

Forming the Teams
-
1
Determine how many people will be attending the party or event. This will determine how many teams of five you will be able to make and if you need any teams of six.
-
2
Choose colors for each player. The colors can repeat from team to team but there cannot be a duplicate of the same color on a single team. Choose both traditional and unconventional colors. For example, you can use the colors in the rainbow such as yellow, red, green and orange and also use colors like gold, turquoise, maroon and hot pink.
-
-
3
Inform each guest of his or her color at least two weeks before the party or gathering. Instruct the team members that they must come up with a costume to wear to the party. Costumes can consist of leggings, turtlenecks, gloves and bicycle helmets combined with goggles, for example.
-
4
Ask each Power Ranger team member to come up with a super power to coordinate with her costume. For example, Gold Ranger may have the power to turn anything, including her enemies, to gold. Hot Pink Ranger could have the power to put her enemies under a love spell.
-
5
Assemble the teams and have the Power Rangers model their costumes and present their super powers.
Using the Teams
-
6
Discuss and choose a name for each team. Each team can choose their own names, either through inspiration from the colors on their team or from ideals or personality traits from the team members. For example, some team names could include "The Gemstone Warriors," for rangers whose colors reflect gemstones like red for rubies and green for emeralds. Another choice could be "The Wild Rangers," for a particularly rambunctious and adventurous group.
-
7
Pit the Power Ranger teams against each other in a Power Scavenger Hunt. Paint several rocks a different color and assign a super power to each. Depending on the size of the rocks, you could also write the super power on the rock itself, such as fire, strength, invisibility and flying. The powers can be announced in lieu of writing them as well.
-
8
Hide the rocks around the house and yard.
-
9
Send the Power Ranger teams out to collect as many of the power stones as they can in an allotted time frame, such as 30 minutes.
-
10
The team to gather the most rocks is deemed the most powerful and wins the game.
