How to Find the Engine Size of a 1979 Bronco

The 1979 Ford Bronco is a rare find with an even rarer Ford engine.

The 1979 Ford Bronco, also known as the "second-generation" Bronco, is one of the more rare Broncos to find, as it was manufactured for only one year. The 1978 and 1979 Broncos are the only Broncos that were built with a solid front axle and they are the only Broncos that used the 351M/400 engine. All vehicles are required to be equipped with a permanent emission information label indicating engine size, so finding the engine size on your 1979 Bronco is as easy as popping the hood.

Instructions

1. Lift the hood on your 1979 Ford Bronco.

2. Look under the hood near the engine.

3. Find the emission label. It will list the engine size, or displacement, and will be shown in units of liters.
