How to Install Brookstone Wireless Headphones to a Philips Flat Screen TV

Wireless headphones offer many convenient features to expand your home-entertainment center. By outputting a television's audio to a wireless headphone transmitter, you can privately listen to the TV's audio while someone else is sleeping or boost the audio through the headphones if you are hard of hearing without disturbing everyone else watching the TV. More good news is that wireless headphone transmitters are simple devices that even the least tech-savvy TV viewer can have connected to a Philips flat-screen TV in no time.

Instructions

1. Attach one end of the RCA cable that came with the headphone set. The end of the cable with red and white RCA jacks should be plugged into the audio output ports of the same color on the back of the flat-screen TV. The location of the ports varies depending on what TV model you are using.

2. Connect the other end of the cable into the headphone jack on the wireless headphone transmitter, located on the left of the back panel of the transmitter.

3. Install the batteries by unscrewing the large screw on the right earpiece and removing the battery compartment cover. Make sure to match the polarity ("+" and "-") of each battery to the polarity labeling on the inside of the battery compartment. Replace the cover and tighten the screw by hand.

4. Power on the TV, the transmitter (the "On/Off" switch is on the back panel) and the headphones (the "On/Off" switch is on the side of the left earpiece) to test the connection.
