How to Connect a Game Console to a Portable DVD

Most portable DVD players include composite inputs that can be used to connect a video game console. The game console will be limited to the resolution native to the portable DVD player. Newer game consoles will suffer the most as most newer games are designed for higher resolutions. It may be difficult to read text and see artifacts. Aforementioned issues aside, the actual process of connecting a game console to a portable DVD is similar to connecting it to a TV.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the portable DVD player. Turn off the game console.

    • 2

Connect the red, white and yellow composite prongs from the video game console into the red, white and yellow composite inputs on the portable DVD player. The inputs may be on the back or side of the portable DVD player.
