BitComet is a free download manager supporting more than one protocol. For downloads from websites, it supports HTTP and FTP protocols. BitComet also supports BitTorrent protocol for peer-to-peer downloads. In order to use BitComet you need to add a rule to your firewall. Otherwise the firewall program will block BitComet when you try to download a file using any of the protocols. On McAfee you just need to click "OK" in the pop-up window asking for access.
