How to Sell My Premium Domain Name
Investing in domain names is the equivalent of investing in real estate. For that reason, domain names are considered virtual real estate. When you first purchase the domain name, it may not have much value. However as you "flip" that domain name, by fixing it up and driving traffic to it, it becomes invaluable. Once your site starts receiving several thousand visitors per month, you can sell the premium domain name for a sizable profit.

1
Determine the average amount of Internet users who visit your website each day. This can be determined by using traffic statistic tools, such as Alexa, PR Checker and Stats-a-Holic.
-
2
Request an appraisal of your premium domain name to determine it's true value. You can get a domain name appraisal through online resources, such as Sedo, eStibot, Swift Appraisal and Valuate. Depending upon the appraiser you use, you may have to pay a fee for the appraisal. When requesting an appraisal, let the appraiser know how many visits your site receives each day.

-
3
Place an advertisement on your website announcing that the domain is for sale. Include the price you are selling the domain for, along with a telephone number or email address for an interested buyer to contact you. You can even include your Alexa Traffic Rank or Google Page Rank, to let potential buyers know how popular your domain name is.
-
4
Place your premium domain name up for auction on domain auction sites, such as Great Domains, Go Daddy Auctions and After Market. By placing your domain name up for auction, you can set the minimum amount you are willing to accept for your domain. Sell the domain name to the highest bidder.
-
5
Transfer the ownership of your domain name to the buyer. To transfer domain name ownership, contact the company your domain name is registered through.
