How to Use the TV Output on a Zune

The Microsoft Zune is a personal MP3 player that can also play video files. You can watch movies and TV shows on the Zune; however, the unit's small LCD screen may not provide an optimal viewing experience. Connect the Zune to your TV set using the TV output jack to watch Zune videos on the big screen.

Things You'll Need

• RCA-to-miniplug Audio/Video cable

Instructions

1. Turn on your Zune and your TV. Locate the color-coded RCA input ports on your TV.

2. Insert the miniplug end of the A/V cable into the headphone jack on your Zune.

3. Insert the three color-coded RCA plugs on the other end of the cable into the corresponding input ports on your TV.

4. Navigate to the Settings menu on the Zune, then choose "Display." Set the "TV Out" menu option to "On."

5. Change the input or channel selector on your TV until you see the main menu screen of the Zune displayed on your TV screen.

Tips & Warnings

• Camcorders often come with the type of A/V cable needed to connect your Zune to the TV.
