Instructions

    • 1

Remove both the front door and the top cover from your ice machine.

    • 2

Set the toggle switch to the "Off" position and wait for all the ice to melt off of the evaporator.

    • 3

Remove all the ice from both the bin and the dispenser.

    • 4

Turn the toggle switch to "Clean." Water will flow down the drain through the water dump valve.

    • 5

Add the proper amount of ice machine cleaner (according to Manitowoc's recommendations) when the water trough refills and water runs over the evaporator. The amount to add can range from 5 oz. to 16 oz., depending on the model, so make sure to check the user's manual for the exact amount.

    • 6

Wait for the cleaning cycle to complete, between 30 and 35 minutes, and place the toggle switch in the "Off" position.

    • 7

Disconnect the ice machine and remove your individual parts for cleaning. Depending on the make and model of your Manitowoc, proper parts removal and cleaning will vary. Consult your owner's manual for the procedures necessary to clean the parts.

    • 8

Reinstall the parts when you've finished cleaning and wait 30 minutes before reapplying power to your machine.

    • 9

Place the toggle switch in the "Clean" position and wait until the water trough refills, with water flowing over the evaporator. At this point, add Manitowoc Sanitizer to the water trough.

    • 10

Move the toggle switch to the "Ice" position and replace the front panel. In roughly a half-hour, ice will be produced when the sanitize cycle is finished.
