How to Load a BlackBerry OS
BlackBerry devices run on the BlackBerry operating system, or OS. The OS not only powers the phone interface, but offers users numerous features and utilities. Access to wireless networks, a multimedia player and Internet access are some of the features BlackBerry OS users can take advantage of. If you have an older version of the OS, however, upgrading gives you access to the features available in the new OS, such as social feeds and universal search. To load the new BlackBerry OS on your device, BlackBerry Desktop Manager must be installed on your computer.
