How to Send Messages to Verizon Phones

Send a Message From Your Cell Phone

1. Click on your cell phone's text-message icon. The text-message screen will load.

2. Enter the 10-digit Verizon number (or the recipient's name if it is listed in your contact list) into the "To" box on your cell phone.

3. Enter the message in the "Message" box. Tap "Send Message." The message will arrive to the recipient's Verizon's cell phone shortly.

Send a Message From Your Email Account

1. Access your email account either on a computer or your cell phone if you have an email application set up. Click "Compose."

2. Type the recipient's Verizon cell-phone email address into the "To" box. The email address will be the 10-digit Verizon phone number and the Verizon email address. For example, [e-mail].

3. Type the message into the message box. Click "Send." The email will arrive to the Verizon cell phone as a text message.
