How to Remove Airplane Mode From an iPhone

The iPhone is Apple's popular smart phone. The "Airplane Mode" function turns off all wireless functionality so that you can use the device while traveling in the air. Airplane Mode disables all Wi-Fi, bluetooth and phone signals. While in Airplane Mode, no phone calls can be made or received and no data can be sent or received. Removing an iPhone from Airplane Mode upon landing is simple. The feature is toggled on and off via a simple switch in the device's Settings.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn on your Apple iPhone smart phone.

    • 2

Open the Settings application by tapping the "Settings" icon.

    • 3

Slide the "Airplane Mode" switch right to left, from "On" to "Off." Airplane Mode is turned off, and after a few seconds the iPhone will reconnect to your cellular network and Wi-Fi will turn back on.

Tips & Warnings

  • Airplane Mode is designated by an orange airplane icon in the upper-left-hand corner of the device's screen, where the signal strength and network name are typically displayed.
