How to Load MapSend
MapSend is a free map program for the Magellan GPS device. The program contains street-level maps that load when navigating to your various destinations. You can pinpoint the location of rivers, various lakes, railways and other points of interest. To load MapSend on your GPS, you need a copy of the program. You can then determine the amount of detail that you want to see.

Go to the GPSOZ website (see "Resources") and click the "GPSOZWebsite" link for the MapSend Lite program. Save the file to your desktop. Double-click the "MapSend_Lite_200e.exe" file to install the program.

Double-click the "Magellan MapSend Lite" icon to run the program. Install any updates if prompted by the program.

Press the "Menu" button on your Magellan GPS device. Select the option for "About" and note the serial number.

Enter the serial number for your Magellan GPS into the "Target GPS" section in MapSend. Click the option for "Next" to format the maps for use on the GPS.

Double-click the "Conversion Manager" icon on your desktop to run the program. Select "Transfer Map Regions." Click the "Next" button.

Plug the USB connector cable into the GPS and a USB port on the computer. Go into the menu and set the GPS to "File Transfer" mode. Click the "Next" button in the Conversion Manager program.

Put a check in the box for all of the maps you want to transfer to the GPS. Click the "Next" button.

Press the "Menu" button on your GPS and select the option for "Preferences." Select "Active Menu" to activate the maps on the GPS. Press the "Detail Maps" option to display a folder. Select a map from the folder. Confirm the selection and the map will load into the GPS.
