How to Disassemble Modular Cubicles
Office cubicles provide an easy way for employers to create semi-private work spaces for employees out of open office floor plans. The tools required for disassembling your modular cubicle will vary based on the cubicle manufacturer and set up, but the process for removal is generally the same. Whether you are moving office spaces or redesigning your office set up, disassembling modular cubicles is an easy process requiring two people.
Things You'll Need

1
Clear cubicle of personal effects. Make sure any storage accessories are empty. Remove all cables, loose paper and chairs to prevent damage during disassembling process.
-
2
Using your screwdriver, unscrew the screws that are holding any storage or shelving accessories to the cubicle. While you unscrew, have a colleague hold the shelf or storage accessory so that it doesn't fall. Remove the accessories from the cubicle area.

If your modular cubicle set has an attached or built in desk, use your screw driver to unscrew the desk from the panels. If it is an attached desk, be sure to have a colleague support the desk while it is being unscrewed. Remove the unattached desk from the cubicle area.

Starting with the outer panels, unscrew the screws attaching them to the inner walls. Use a step ladder to reach the screws located at the top of the walls. Have a colleague hold the panels upright to prevent damage or injury.

5
If the panel is attached to a connector rail at the floor, gently life the panel out of the connector rail. If the panel does not come out easily, use a rubber mallet or hammer to tap it out of its holder. Occasionally, the panel will be joined to the connector rail with a nut and bolt. In this case, use a wrench to remove the nut and bolt at the rail.

6
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for all attached panels, moving inwards towards the center panel, until the cubicle is completely disassembled.
