How to Send Monophonic Ringtones

Sending monophonic ringtones is simple with a cell phone.

Sending monophonic ringtones to friends and family is a common way to share ringtones that you purchase or download for free. Sending the ringtones through a multimedia message can save the recipient the hassle of finding and downloading or purchasing the ringtone on her phone. With any MMS-able cell phone, you can send a monophonic ringtone in an instant to another phone.

Instructions

1. Power on your cell phone. Make sure there is sufficient battery life in order to send the ringtone to another phone.

2. Access your "Messages" area on the cell phone. You will see options such as "Send SMS," "Send MMS" or "Send an Email" in this menu.

3. Click on "Send MMS" and type the destination phone number in the "To" area. The recipient must be able to receive MMS messages on her cell phone.

4. Click "Add file" in the message window and access the folder where the monophonic ringtone is located. Select the ringtone you want to send and click the "Add" option.

5. Click "Send" once the ringtone name is displayed on the screen. Leave phone open and on as it may take several minutes to send the ringtone file.
