How to Install Navigation on a Chevy Impala thumbnail
Chevys are an American icon and can be updated with GPS devices.

The Chevy Impala is a large luxury saloon that comes in three trim levels. The car offers plenty of space and a variety of safety features. If you wish to add a navigation device to your Impala, research third-party units from the likes of TomTom, Navman or Garmin. Such devices are now inexpensive.

Instructions

    • 1

Buy a navigation unit from a local retailer or source one online from the manufacturer directly. These are also known as GPS (global positioning system) devices.

    • 2

Use the mounting device for the navigation unit to install it in your Chevrolet. Push the mount's suction cup against the windshield. Ensure that it is not blocking your view of the road.

    • 3

Find the rubber grip at the bottom of the mount and twist it clockwise until it clicks. Slot the GPS unit into the mount.

    • 4

Plug the power cable into the Impala's power outlet and plug the other end into the navigation unit. Press the On/Off button and hold it down. Wait for the screen to light up, indicating the unit is ready for use.
