Instructions

    • 1

Check to make sure the General Electric stove is connected to a grounded, working power outlet. If there has been a recent power outage, replace or reset the local fuse or circuit breaker if needed.

    • 2

Examine the burners to see if they have gotten knocked out of position. Unplug each burner and reposition securely in the socket.

    • 3

Use appropriate cookware with a flat bottom that is smooth, as heat sensors in the burners may automatically turn off if cookware is not appropriately detected on the unit. Ensure the proper control knob has been turned to provide heat to the desired burner.

    • 4

Lift out the burner that does not work and try plugging it into one of the other burner receptacles. Turn the control knob for that burner and check for heat. If there is still no heat, that particular burner will need to be replaced. New burners can be purchased online or through General Electric.
