How to Connect an iPhone to a Scion

If you have a Scion vehicle, you may have noticed that the factory stereo is setup to automatically work with an iPod. However, the user guide for the Scion vehicles do not list the iPhone under supported devices. No additional iPhone jack or port exists in the Scion either. Despite this, you can actually connect your iPhone to your Scion. Unfortunately, you do have to disconnect the iPhone from the Scion in order to answer a call.

• iPod cable

Instructions

1. Get an iPod car cable, if you do not already have one. You can typically buy one from an electronics store that sells iPods. The cable works with the iPod and the iPhone.

2. Locate the plug in the lower center console area that is labeled "IPOD." It is under the radio area in the Scion vehicles.

3. Connect your iPod car cable in the IPOD jack in the Scion.

4. Put the other end of the cable in your iPhone headphone jack. This connects your iPhone to the Scion. You can now listen to music from your iPod in your Scion.
