Sony Ericsson W580I: How to Turn on Bluetooth

The Sony Ericsson W580i is a slider-style phone that supports multiple features. You can connect your phone to another Bluetooth enabled device, such as a headphone or speaker, or transfer files wirelessly. To perform either task, you will first need to enable Bluetooth. Powering Bluetooth on allows nearby devices (within a 30 foot range) to communicate with the W580i. Once you've finished using the Bluetooth feature, you may wish to turn it off to conserve battery life.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" key from the home screen to open the main menu.

2. Use the navigational pad to scroll to and select "Settings."

3. Scroll to "Connectivity" by pressing the navigational pad to the right.

4. Select "Bluetooth." Highlight "Turn On" and press "Select."

Tips & Warnings

• To make your phone discoverable to nearby devices, choose "Visibility" in the "Connectivity" menu, then select "Show Phone."
