Instructions

    • 1

Place a plastic bin underneath your sink to use as the compost bin.

    • 2

Place all vegetable and fruit scraps into the bin as you go through them.

    • 3

Add eggshells and used coffee grounds to the bin, but make sure that there are roughly equal amounts of all materials for best results.

    • 4

Bury the compost in your garden's soil once the bin is full. It doesn't have to be buried at a specific depth, it's only important that the compost is completely covered by soil.

    • 5

Add lots of earthworms, available online or in fishing stores and some gas stations, to the garden. Earthworms are a garden's best friend because they process the soil that's already there and expel it, leaving it rich with nutrients.
