Although they are often considered a luxury, they are actually very simple to make yourself. It doesn't take more than a minute, and holding a hot towel to your face and body is a good way to de-stress at the end of the day.   • Towel or toweled washcloth

      Put the towel under a cold tap and thoroughly wet it through.

      Wring out as much of the water as you can until the towel is 80 to 90 percent dry.

      Put the towel in the microwave on high for 20 to 30 seconds.

      Carefully remove the hot towel and dab on your face and neck.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try adding a drop of essential oil, such as jasmine, to the towel. The heat will release the aroma and make the towel smell lovely.

  • Be careful when removing the towel from the microwave as it could be very hot.

  • Never put a dry towel into the microwave as this is a fire hazard.
