Amazon launched as an online bookstore.

Amazon began in 1995 as a website dedicated to selling books. Within 30 days the garage-based operation had shipped titles to all 50 states and 45 countries. In addition to books, Amazon now sells products ranging from food to movies to computers and more. All orders can be tracked online, from shipment to delivery, through Amazon's website.

Navigate to the Amazon website at amazon.com. Click on "Your Account" in the upper right hand corner of the page.
