Instructions

    • 1

Twist a metal screw hook into the ceiling where you want the light to hang. Screw hooks are hooks with a screw top at one end that can be twisted into a ceiling by hand, and can be found at most building supply stores.

    • 2

Cut a string of twine to about two feet long and tie it to the top of the Moravian star light you're working with.

    • 3

Tie the free end of the twine attached to the star to the screw hook so that the star light hangs in place.

    • 4

Attach the star light's plug into one end of an extension cord.

    • 5

Drape the extension cord over the screw hook and plug the plug end into a nearby outlet to turn the light on.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are hanging the light outdoors, put it in a sheltered spot. Use an extension cord approved for outdoors.
