How to Fix MapSend DirectRoute in XP
MapSend DirectRoute is a computer program made by Magellan that allows you to update the map content on your Magellan-brand GPS. Installing DirectRoute on your computer lets you plan trips and then sync your maps to your GPS when it is connected to your computer. If you are having problems with your installation in Windows XP, you can fix them by reinstalling MapSend DirectRoute using the Control Panel.

Double-click "Add or Remove Programs."

Highlight the listing for the MapSend DirectRoute software that is installed on your computer by clicking on it once. Click "Change" in the "Add or Remove Programs" tool bar. The MapSend DirectRoute installation utility will open. Select the "Repair" option, and click "Next." This will reinstall the software on your computer, fixing any issues you were having by restoring it to its default settings.
