How to Make Krylon Clear Waterproof Labels
Krylon's Preserve It! is a clear spray that protects paper items and digital photos. Krylon states the product more than doubles the life your important documents, digital photos and labels. Shipping packages may come in contact with moisture, which may cause the ink to bleed on your address labels. Waterproof your address labels before shipping your packages by spraying them first with a coat of Krylon's Preserve It!
Things You'll Need
- Well-ventilated area
- Drop cloth or newspapers
- Krylon's Preserve It!
- Printed labels

Find a well-ventilated work area and place a drop cloth or newspapers where you plan to use the spray.

Print the labels you wish to waterproof. Spread them in your work area over the drop cloth or newspapers.

Shake the can of Krylon's Preserve It! vigorously for one minute.

Hold the can four to six inches from your labels.

Spray an even coat on your labels using a slow, sweeping motion.

Allow to dry at least ten minutes before touching and two hours before handling.

Tips & Warnings
Don't spray too much on your item; a light coating is sufficient. Too much spray will create wet spots and runs, causing the ink to bleed on your labels.
