Instructions

    • 1

Check your user manual to determine if your printer can print on textured paper. A list of paper types that should not be used should be in your printer's user manual. Some types of paper can be used in your printer but may void the manufacturer warranty. Do not use textured "glitter" paper in your printer as this may result in permanent damage to the device.

Insert a single piece of textured paper into your printer's paper tray. Adjust the plastic paper guides to make your textured paper fit snugly in the paper tray.

    • 3

Launch your print project application. Open the file you wish to print on the textured paper. Avoid printing small text on on textured paper, as the fibers used in the production of textured paper causes the ink from the printer to bleed, which may render printed text illegible.

    • 4

Increase the brightness of the colors in your print project using the color settings in your print project application. Color ink appears darker when printed on textured paper than when displayed on your monitor. By increasing the brightness of the colors in the print project, you can compensate for this effect.

    • 5

Click the "File" menu in your print project application, the click "Print." Monitor the printer's paper tray to ensure that the textured paper feeds straight into the printer and doesn't cause a paper jam. If a paper jam occurs, turn off the printer and open the service panel to access the internal components. Remove the textured paper causing the paper jam and restart the printer. Insert another sheet of textured paper and click "Print."
