How to Play Command and Conquer
"Command & Conquer" is a real time strategy series produced by Electronic Arts. The first "Command & Conquer" game was released in 1995. EA has launched a total of four titles as of 2010. In "Command & Conquer," you are in control of your own army. In campaign mode, you pick a side and follow its storyline while completing missions. There is also a multiplayer mode in which players build up an army from scratch. "Command & Conquer" is rated T, for teens.

Insert the game CD into your computer and install the game. Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements listed on the box.

Start the game and access the title screen. You will have the choice of which game mode you would like to play. It is recommended to start with the campaign mode before trying multiplayer.

Select a side, if you're playing campaign mode. Each army will have its own storyline and missions. You can go back and play the other storylines after you have completed the one you select.

Receive your mission. Each mission will begin with a cut-scene in which you learn the story and what you have to do to help your army succeed. At times you will need to build up a large army to dominate the opposition, whereas in other missions you might be working covertly to sabotage the other army's plot.

Establish home base. In most missions, you will start out at your base's "control center." Through this building you can begin to build other types of structures. Click on the control center to see what types of things you can build.

Collect money so you can begin to build. Each landscape you play on will be littered with natural resources that you can collect. You will need to collect as much as possible, because you will need money to build structures or tanks and train troops.

Build an army. By clicking the "barracks," you can train troops to gain numbers. Depending on how much you pay, each troop can learn a different specialty. Build tanks, airplanes or other vehicles in their respective structures around camp.

Attack. Use your troops to defeat the other army. To attack, highlight with your mouse the troops that you want to use and click on the subject you want them to destroy. A small health bar will appear above both you and your enemy. Defeat all of your opponent's troops to claim victory.
