How to Remove a Headlamp on an SVT Focus

Remove the headlamp on your SVT Focus.

Ford's in-house Special Vehicle Team developed the Ford Focus SVT in 2001. It was quite an upgrade from prior years and included a new trim package and more horsepower. You can customize your SVT with a number of upgrades. One option is to change the headlamp bulbs. Several different types of lights, ranging from very bright to blue, are available. You can do this job right at home in your own driveway.

Instructions

1. Park the car in a workable area and set the emergency brake.

2. Make sure the headlamps are in the off position and then pop the hood.

3. Reach on the inside of the headlamp area and remove the bulb cover.

4. Pivot the wire clip and pull out the headlamp bulb.

5. Retract the headlamp holder out of the light assembly.

6. Pull out the bulb from the connector assembly.
