How to Disassemble an MSI GX700 Laptop
If you've been having problem with your MSI GX-series laptop you may need to open up the unit in order to diagnose problems or replace parts. This may seem intimidating, but you'll find that the process can be completed in a short time.

Turn off your MSI laptop and unplug the power cable. Close the display screen and turn the unit upside down.

Disconnect the rectangular battery from its port on the bottom of the laptop.

Remove all screws from the bottom of the laptop and set them aside.

Remove the two compartment covers on the bottom of the laptop.

Slide the rectangular hard drive out of its compartment and set it aside.

Locate the fan assembly and heat sink in the other compartment and remove the screws holding it in place. Remove the fan assembly and heat sink from the computer.

Turn the unit right-side-up and open the display screen. Pry the rectangular panel off of the keyboard and set it aside.

Remove the screws above the keyboard and set them aside.

Lift the keyboard up from the top and unplug the keyboard cable from the top of the computer. Set the keyboard aside.

Remove all screws from the top of the computer and unplug the touch pad cable from its port on the top of the computer.

Remove the palm rest and metal plate on the top of the computer. It is now disassembled.
