You can replace a worn car seat.

There is a way to add car seats to your vehicle. If you have run-down car seats but you do not have the money for a professional to install new seats in your car, you can install them yourself. Your car can have newer and sportier car seats with just a few simple steps. It's just a matter of using the right tools. New car seats also can be installed in your truck, SUV or sports car.

Instructions

    • 1

Read your owner's manual and instructions on how to install seats in your vehicle. Make sure your tools are assembled in a reachable place.

    • 2

Pull the front seat all the way back to show the bolts that are holding the seat to the floor. Remove the front blots from the seat rails using an 8mm socket attached to a drill. Pay attention to the assembly of the seats and the rails and the way that they are attached. Lift the seats from the car.

    • 3

Slide the seat forward. Push the top part of the seat down and use the 8 mm socket and drill to remove the bolts attached to the floor behind the seat.

    • 4

Remove the old seat. Fasten the new seats and the rails using an adapter kit. Move the seat back and forth and adjust to your liking.
