How to Change the Combination of a Samsonite Briefcase Lock

Samsonite briefcases can help you keep your confidential documents safe from prying eyes. The cases come programmed with a combination of 0-0-0--one so simple it practically asks for you to come up with your own three-digit code. Take some time and decide exactly which three-number combination you want to program into your briefcase. Make sure this combination can be remembered, but hard for others to figure out.

Instructions

1. Write down your new three-number combination and store it in a safe place for later reference.

2. Turn your briefcase so the combination lock faces you. Locate the lever or button adjacent the lock.

3. Depress the button or lower the lever. If your briefcase has a button, hold the button down while you change the three dials to the numbers you have chosen for your new combination.

4. Release the button or move the lever to its original position. Your new combination is now set.
