1
Dress in elegant clothing whenever possible. This does not mean you must put on elaborate gowns for every occasion. Instead, make yourself presentable and dress in a stylish manner. For example, instead of dressing in a T-shirt and denim jeans when you are going to the supermarket, dress in a fancy blouse and slacks.

2
Speak and act politely at all times. Never show your anger in public. If you must show your anger, ensure you are in the company of close friends only. Smile at everyone and be friendly to all you meet. If someone holds the door open for you, smile, look that person in the eye, and politely say, "Thank you" (and act as though you sincerely mean it).

Play host often. Before having guests at your home, ensure every room is clean and tidy. Cook an elegant meal (five courses or more) and have a constant supply of appetizers to serve your guests while they await to eat their meal. It is also good to serve wine with your meal. When dinner is finished, take the plates of everyone and insist you do the dishes. Afterward, mail them all a thank-you note, telling them you were glad to be in their company and would love to have them return to your home.
-
4
Avoid smoking and chewing gum in public. Instead of gum, use mints to freshen your breath.
-
5
Read often and keep up with international events. Take time to culture yourself about history, art, cinema and other areas of culture. This will allow you to discuss these matters with friends and acquaintances and will show everyone that you are not only elegant, charming and beautiful, but also smart and sophisticated.
-
6
Volunteer often. If your child's school is having a bake sale, participate. If your local church is providing a dinner to raise funds for a cause, be there to serve. In short, always try to be in the spotlight of your community.
