My Peachtree Is Unable to Connect to Its Database

Peachtree is an important program to use when running your own business.

Peachtree is a financial program used on Windows computer systems, often to keep track of product growth and income obtained by a company. Peachtree connects to a database to save and retrieve the information it uses, so it is important the software is always capable of accessing this data. If Peachtree fails to connect to its database, you need to troubleshoot the situation in order to determine what is causing the problem.

Instructions

1. Close out Peachtree and restart the computer. It is possible the program just didn't detect the database when first booting. Once you restart the computer, Peachtree will attempt to detect the database. If the program is still unable to detect the database, you must reconnect the software to the stored files.

2. Click the "Start" button, then choose "Windows Explorer." Once the browse window loads select "Tools," then "Map Network Drive."

3. Click on the database drive where you have the financial information stored and select "Reconnect." Peachtree now reconnects to the database, allowing you to view your previously-saved financial information.
