Electrolux makes a line of smaller ovens that install on kitchen walls. Each oven has a glass panel on the front door that allows you to view the food as it is cooking. Some models even have decorative doors that contain designs. However, if you decided that you do not want the door on the oven, you will need to remove it to install a new one. The removal process for an Electrolux door is the same as for any other wall oven. It is a do-it-yourself project that only takes about an hour. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Nut driver
  • Flathead screwdriver
  • Phillips head screwdriver

Instructions

    • 1

      Unplug the oven from the electric wall socket.

      Open the front door of the wall oven halfway to the 45 degree mark.

      Remove the plastic covers from the hinges that are on the bottom of both sides of the door. Use a Philips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold each cover onto the hinges.

      Open the door as far as it will go.

      Remove the screws that connect the inner and outer halves of the door panel. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to turn each screw counterclockwise.

      Separate the inner and outer walls of the door. Pull the inner panel off of the outer panel with your hands.

      Remove any screws that are holding the glass panel in the front of the door panel. Pull the glass panel from the outer panel.
