Instructions

    • 1

Place your Bodum Coffee Maker on a flat surface.

    • 2

Locate the plunger, which is inside of the beaker and in the middle of the lid. Your manual will show you a picture of each part and where it is located if you are unsure. Pull the plunger out in an upward motion and twist off the lid.

    • 3

Measure out 1 tbsp. of ground coffee for every 4 oz. of coffee you need to brew. Place the ground coffee inside of the beaker.

    • 4

Pour the amount of water needed to make your pot of coffee in to a pot and heat it up over the stove. Wait for the water to get piping hot, but just under the boiling point. Remove it from the heat.

    • 5

Pour the hot water in to the beaker just as you did with the coffee grinds. Stir with a spoon.

    • 6

Replace the lid and the plunger, but leave the plunger in its upright position. Set a timer for four minutes. This is the amount of time it takes for the coffee to brew in the Bodum coffee press.

    • 7

Push the plunger straight down and then twist off the lid. Pour into individual cups and serve while hot.

Tips & Warnings

  • A plastic spoon is preferred, as it is less likely to damage the beaker.

  • Do not use fine-ground coffee as it will clog up the Bodum coffee-filtering process.
