A powerful street and ramp basic that can be taken to the sky!

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Skate Rails
  • Skateboard Decks
  • Skateboard Helmets
  • Skateboard Pads
  • Skateboard Parts
  • Skateboard Trucks
  • Skateboard Wheels
  • Skateboarding Shoes
  • Skateboards
  1. Step 1

Set your feet up just as you would for a nollie (back foot maybe slightly closer to your front foot than usual).

  2. Step 2

Snap the nose down as hard as you can and begin doing the nollie motion while you turn your shoulders and hips frontside. You can begin to turn the trick almost immediately after you push down to nollie so you almost take off from an angle.

  3. Step 3

Guide the entire trick with your legs and hips. Suck in your knees and jump to get the trick to pop higher, and use your hips to control and direct the turn. On the frontside 180 nollie (as opposed to the backside 180 nollie) it is best to let the trick turn the full 180 degrees before you start to go down (so you are totally backwards at the height of your trick).

  4. Step 4

Land as solidly (all four wheels) as possible. Lean either way too much and you will get pitched, and it is no fun to get pitched going backwards.

  5. Step 5

Work on popping this trick as high as possible; it is a great one to do up, down, or over just about anything. Style points!

on 6/30/2006 Place your feet as for a nollie, but with your shoulders slightly open so as to be ready to start turning as you pop your nose. Snap a nollie whereas your body begins a 90 degree rotation.
Wait for your board to follow your body and bend your knees, so as to pop your board at its maximum at 90 degrees. Then, start extending your leg while still turning your body to finish the rotation. Try to lean with your board and body on the same line 180 degrees from where you started (to prevent yourself from slamming).
Ride away smiling.

on 6/30/2006 The only way to do a kickflip, you have to learn the ollie. Once you learn the ollie, get your feet in the ollie position. When you're in position, put your front foot behind the front bolts.
Make sure that your front foot's heel is off the board, so your toes are on the board. Turn your front foot at least 30 degrees to do the flip. Now do an ollie. As the board is in the air, with your front foot; flip the board with your toes. When the board has finished the flip, land like you would in an ollie.
Practice the ollie and the kickflip a few times, when you do you will be surprised (if you land it)!
